Wells Fargo Associate Barred For Stealing $200 in Gift Cards

Background: Menne joined the industry in August 2014 when she joined Wells Fargo Advisors in a non-registered capacity and worked until May 11, 2016 when the firm terminated her employment.
Overview: While associated with Wells Fargo, Menne converted $200 worth of gift cards held by the firm.
In December 2015, while associated with the Firm, Menne took $200 worth of gift cards from the Firm. Beginning on January 2, 2016, Menne used $200 worth of the stolen gift cards to pay for her personal purchases.
In May 2016, Menne was charged with misdemeanor theft of property with a value of less than $500 in connection with the stolen gift cards. In August 2016, Menne pleaded guilty to the theft charge.
Result: On October 20 Menne signed a Letter of acceptance consenting to a bar from the industry without admitting or denying the allegations.
